HAYLO People specialise in General Insurance recruitment and I am currently working on several corporate insurance broking opportunities across Brisbane.

The roles vary across brokerage type, portfolio size, client profile and level of seniority, with opportunities available from Account Executive through to Account Director level. Hybrid working/ability to work from home (wfh) is available for most of the positions listed.

Current Opportunities
• Account Director, salary dependent on experience, up to $250k + super + bonus. Ideally coming from a multinational brokerage workplace, with established insurer relationships across both Australia and the London market. You will have managed clients generating over $100k in income and have experience tendering for new business and building relationships across relevant industries.

• Senior Account Manager, Corporate, salary dependent on experience, up to $155k + super + bonus + new business commission. Join a well established local brokerage with a solid focus on retention and long term client relationships, including clients who have remained with the business for over 30 years.

• Senior Account Manager, salary dependent on experience, up to $150k + super + bonus. Join a boutique specialist brokerage managing purely corporate clients across high hazard construction, liability, contract works and other complex risks.

• Corporate Account Manager, salary dependent on experience, up to $150k + super + bonus. Manage a concentrated portfolio of just seven corporate clients generating seven figures in income. The focus is purely on retention with no new business expectation. The successful candidate will be happy to work beyond the usual 9 to 5 for preparing renewal information, international negotiations and client entertainment.

• Account Executive, Corporate, salary dependent on experience, up to $120k + super. Work across a $600k portfolio of approximately 15 clients alongside an Account Director with an exceptional reputation in the market.



You will support some of the larger accounts while taking ownership of your own client relationships, giving you strong exposure to complex corporate work and a clear opportunity to continue developing as a broker.

All the opportunities above span a range of corporate and complex commercial portfolios, including areas such as construction, engineering, property, liability, ISR, contract works and professional risks.

Depending on the role, there is also exposure to global placements, London market relationships, complex renewal strategy and working with clients with significant turnover, premium and insurance requirements.

Who I am looking to speak with
Ideally, you will already have experience managing or supporting corporate insurance clients and be comfortable working across more complex commercial risks.

I am also open to speaking with brokers coming from strong mid market portfolios who are ready to step into larger and more complex accounts.
For some of the more junior opportunities, I would also consider candidates who have worked within smaller brokerages but can demonstrate strong commercial awareness, professionalism, drive and a genuine interest in building a career within corporate insurance broking (degree qualification preferred)

Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualifications are required, with a diploma preferred, along with strong client relationship skills, insurer engagement and a good understanding of commercial insurance products.
