Major Furnace Australia Pty Ltd is located in Clayton South and, since 1912, has been providing innovative engineering solutions in the field of thermal and mineral processing, refractory and dust and fume extraction.

Due to an ever-increasing workload, we are seeking a self-motivated, versatile Mechanical Fitter to join our team.

About the Job·

Prepare and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling and cutting.

·Understand the specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.

·Assembly of combustion-related equipment, such as furnaces

·Pipe fitting.

·Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

About You

·Must be punctual and reliable.





·A positive attitude and a team player who takes ownership of their work.

·Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter.

·A strong commitment to health and safety and environmental procedures.

·Exceptional Fault-finding & problem-solving skills.

·Must have previous welding experience. The following will also be highly regarded.

·Forklift license.

Day shift is between 6:00 am till 2:30 pm.

Annual salary of $79,423.00 + 12% Superannuation
