Role Description

Rex Minerals is an Australian mining company dedicated to the development of its flagship A$1.0B Copper-Gold Hillside Project, located on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia. The project will be a significant contributor to the South Australian economy and will provide employment opportunities for locals and those looking to move to the area.

As part of our commitment to future talent, we are offering three (3) Vacation Student positions for the 2025/2026 summer period. These roles are designed for current university students in the following disciplines:

- Civil Engineering

- Electrical Engineering

- Geology

This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable industry experience with a company that’s leading one of Australia’s most exciting mining developments.

What you’ll be doing:

- Supporting the engineering team on site infrastructure, earthworks and construction activities (Civil)

- Assisting with power distribution, electrical design documentation and site installations (Electrical)

- Supporting exploration and resource work, including core logging, sampling and data analysis (Geology)





- Collaborating with experienced professionals across the business

- Developing practical skills aligned with your degree

Location & Rosters:

- Roles will be based at both our Hillside Project (Ardrossan region) and Adelaide office

- Roster includes a mix of site-based (5/2, 10 hour days) and office-based (Monday to Friday, 8-hour days) work

- Accommodation provided for Hillside roles, if required

You’ll be a great fit if you:

- Are currently studying in one of the listed disciplines

- Are motivated to apply your learning in a hands-on workplace

- Are available to commence late November 2026

- Communicate clearly, follow direction, and know when to escalate

- Are keen to experience the mining industry from the ground up
