About the role

Our School is seeking a part-time, fixed term Middle and Senior School Science and Mathematics Teacher, commencing in January 2027. Teachers are directly responsible to the Senior Leadership Team through the Head of Department. In line with the National Standards for Teachers, a teacher should demonstrate the professional knowledge, practice and engagement of Proficient or Highly Accomplished Teachers.

Key responsibilities

- Teach Mathematics to Years 7–10 students

- Teach Science to Years 7–10 students

- Teach SACE/IB Science subjects

- Teach SACE/IB Mathematics subjects

- Pastoral Care responsibilities which may involve Home Group responsibilities, yard duty and participation in School events as required

- Participate in the co-curricular life of the School

- Participate in a full-week residential camp

About you

- Ability to teach Mathematics to Years 7–10 students

- Ability to teach Science to Years 7–10 students

- Ability to teach SACE/IB Science subjects

- Ability to teach SACE/IB Mathematics subjects

- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students and colleagues

- Understanding of effective pedagogies for adolescent female learners

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Up to date knowledge of contemporary teaching application and theory

- Energetic and flexible approach to teaching that complements our vibrant and contemporary learning environment, with ability to cater to different learning styles and adjust learning activities according to student needs

- Registration, or ability to gain registration, to teach in South Australia

- Tertiary qualifications in education

- Valid working with Children Check (WWCC)
