About the role

Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll lead finance across our development, construction and property entities. You'll be a hands-on leader and a trusted adviser to the executive team, and you'll provide independent assurance over our financial controls.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver monthly management accounts, group reporting and annual statutory financials, and coordinate external audits

- Manage tax compliance: income tax, GST/BAS, payroll tax, land tax and FBT

- Lead treasury, cashflow forecasting, banking relationships, funding submissions and covenant reporting

- Oversee project accounting, feasibilities, cost-to-complete and construction claims

- Ensure compliance with BIF legislation, QBCC requirements and Project Trust Accounts

- Lead the annual budget, forecasts, board reporting and scenario modelling

- Run a risk-based internal audit program and maintain Delegation of Authority and fraud controls

- Lead and develop the finance team and outsourced accounting providers

About you

- CPA or CA qualified, with a degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce

- 8+ years' post-qualification experience,



including 3+ years as a Financial Controller or equivalent

- Property development or construction finance experience

- Strong knowledge of Australian tax, AASB standards and development funding

- Familiarity with QBCC, BIF and PTA requirements

- Experience in internal audit or controls testing (CIA or Big 4 / mid-tier audit background a plus)

- A commercial mindset, high integrity and the confidence to challenge
