The Visitor Experience Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end visitor experience at Werribee Open Range Zoo, ensuring visitors and members receive a welcoming, engaging, accessible and high-quality experience from arrival through to departure.

Leading a diverse portfolio including Admissions, Visitor Experiences, Events, Functions & Activations, Commercial Products and the Volunteer Program, this role balances exceptional visitor experiences with safe and effective operations, commercial performance and financial sustainability.

As a key property leader, the Visitor Experience Manager will lead and support a large and diverse workforce, building a positive and collaborative culture where teams are empowered to deliver exceptional experiences. Working closely with teams across Werribee Open Range Zoo and the broader Zoos Victoria network, the role will use visitor insights, operational data and performance measures to continuously improve the visitor journey, strengthen conservation connection and identify opportunities to grow and enhance our experiences and commercial offerings.

- Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop others, build leadership capability and support teams effectively through change.

- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bring people together, work across teams and build a shared focus on exceptional visitor experiences.

- Strong operational and commercial capability, with the ability to empower teams, make sound decisions and create a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and shared success.

The successful candidate will also require a current National Police Check, Employee Status Working with Children Check and current driver's licence. The role requires availability to support the team during weekends, public holidays and peak periods, including school holidays.
