- Salary $98,576 to $103,911 per annum inclusive of 15% shift loading

- Up to 21% superannuation with co-contribution scheme

About the position:

The City of Greater Geraldton’s dedicated Ranger team is evolving and, due to internal promotions, is seeking two resilient, community‑minded people to step into fast‑paced and highly rewarding roles. Under the guidance of Senior Rangers, the team manages a consistently high and varied workload including animal management, local law enforcement, investigations, evidence gathering, and community education.

Key accountabilities:

• Carry out routine patrols and undertake compliance activities.

• Conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, take witness statements, and prepare high quality briefs of evidence.

• Interpret and apply relevant legislation and policies with accuracy and consistency.

• Apply enforcement action confidently, fairly and professionally when required.

• Manage complex and at times challenging situations with resilience, composure and sound judgement.

Position requirements:

• Highly motivated with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service

• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate, influence and enforce where required

• Experience or the ability to develop capability in investigations and court processes

• Effective time management, self-organisation and prioritising skills

Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.

Remuneration and benefits:

Rangers work a roster including one weekend in four, and public holidays.



This attracts a 15% loading which brings the total annual salary to between $98,576 and $103,911 offered dependent on knowledge, skills and experience. The base salary is $85,719 to $90,358 per annum.
