The Role

Due to continued growth and expansion of our Queensland operations, and in particular, our Industrial Division, we are looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Operator to join our growing team based in Luscombe Queensland.

In addition to the usual Operator field work, this role has a leadership component. The successful candidates will have an opportunity to apply their field experience in a leadership capacity to support, train and mentor others.

Working between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, this position will work on a variety of construction and site-based projects.

Role requirements:

- Operate all plant, equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently.

- Support the Industrial team in the field by monitoring progress and providing mentorship and technical guidance.

- Work independently, comply with all safety guidelines and maintain the highest possible level of efficiency.





- Liaise with and assist clients on site as required, ensuring they consistently receive an excellent experience from the QEST team.

- Comply with all company and legislative WHS policies and procedures.

- Work extended hours when required.

- Ensure quality, safety and efficiency standards are consistently met.

- Participate in ongoing training and development to strengthen technical knowledge and field competency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Ideally, at least five years of experience in a senior leadership role within the industrial sector.

- A genuine commitment to mentoring, supporting and developing team members.

- Robust communication and organisational skills.

- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement.

- A valid White Card.

- A current Heavy Rigid driver licence.

- Strong mechanical aptitude.

- A Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Card would be advantageous.

- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.

- The ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and any required random drug and alcohol testing.
