Job description:

ProReman, an Epiroc entity is seeking a Trades Assistant based in Wacol, Brisbane. The Trade Assistant is responsible for supporting service, production, warehouse and logistics activities across the Reman Centre. The role requires safe and efficient performance of duties in accordance with ProReman policies, procedures, manuals and work instructions. This position operates in a fast-paced environment and supports multiple operational functions to ensure the effective delivery of services to ProReman and its associated group entities. Key Accountabilities of the role:

- Support Service Technicians and the Workshop Manager in achieving operational and production targets.
- Preparation and painting of finished components.
- Perform disassembly and pre-assessment cleaning of hydraulic components as required.
- Safely operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and move materials throughout the site.
- Undertake manual handling tasks in accordance with safety requirements.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and associated safety checks.
- Assist with inventory management activities, including receiving, dispatching, picking and ordering parts when required.
- Monitor stock levels and follow up on backorders to support operational requirements.
- Maintain a clean, secure and presentable work environment, including general housekeeping of the workshop, warehouse and site facilities.
- Provide backup support for warehousing, logistic and dispatch functions.
- Assist with other operational, warehouse and logistics duties as directed.
- Maintain and enhance job knowledge and skills through training, development activities and participation in learning opportunities.
- Comply with all health, safety,



environmental and quality requirements and contribute to a safe workplace culture.

Education, Qualifications, Experience, Tickets, Licences:

- Current Forklift Licence (LF) required.
- Previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environment preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools desirable.
- Current Driver's Licence preferred.
- Experience with hydraulic components, heavy equipment, or remanufacturing operations is advantageous.

Knowledge & Skills required to be successful in the role:

- Sound understanding of workshop, warehouse and logistics operations.
- Knowledge of safe work practices, including manual handling and hazard identification.
- Understanding of inventory control processes, including receiving, dispatch, stock management and parts picking.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in the disassembly, cleaning and inspection of components.
- Ability to interpret and follow procedures, work instructions and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads.
- Basic computer literacy and experience using inventory or workshop management systems is desirable.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative when required.
