About us:

Blackwater Multi-Purpose Health Service is a busy 16-bed rural facility located 200km west of the Queensland coastline, providing essential care close to home for the local community. With acute inpatient, accident and emergency, pharmacy, outpatient and urgent radiology services, you'll be part of a team delivering a broad mix of care where your contribution is visible and valued.

The service also brings care beyond the hospital walls, with community clinics supporting antenatal, child and women's health, diabetes, immunisation and dietetics, alongside visiting allied health and adult and youth mental health services. With aged care also integrated on site, Blackwater offers the opportunity to build broad rural experience while forming genuine connections with the community you serve.

About the role:

- Coordinate clinical practice and support nursing and medical staff to deliver safe, competent, evidence-based and patient-centred care.
- Promote best practice, participate in audits and incident management, and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical policies, procedures and standards.
- Provide clinical supervision, education, mentoring and professional development for nurses, graduates and students, helping build a capable and supportive team.
- Apply advanced clinical, problem-solving and coordination skills, providing specialist nursing knowledge and ensuring practice reflects current evidence, legislation and professional standards.
- Help lead the service, supporting workforce, resource and operational management while fostering collaboration, communication, learning and a positive team culture.

About you:

- Mandatory: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); Emergency Nursing experience,



Advanced Life Support and recent experience in an acute setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, risk management and delivering safe, high-quality care.
- Strong contemporary nursing knowledge with advanced clinical and problem-solving skills in a patient-focused environment.
- Ability to lead within a multidisciplinary team and use effective education strategies to build staff capability and support evidence-based practice.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally and sensitively with staff, patients and the wider community.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of up to $139,931 p.a. is comprised of:

- An hourly rate between $57.76 - $61.85 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
