Midway Metals is Australia’s largest independent stainless steel stockist and distributor, offering a complete range of stainless steel products. At Midway Metals, our main focus is ensuring complete customer satisfaction via procuring, stocking, and identifying all forms of stainless steel and providing an unequalled level of after sales service. Our in-house cutting, slitting, and polishing services and reliable delivery keep customers coming back. We're growing, and we need an experienced account manager to join our sales team based in Perth!

The role

You'll own a portfolio of established accounts and have the freedom to build new ones. You'll spend most of your week on the road, meeting customers in their workshops, on site and in their offices. You'll be their trusted adviser on product, pricing, and supply. You'll be backed by a robust internal sales, warehouse, and logistics team.

Day to day, you’ll:

- manage and grow existing accounts through a planned call cycle;

- find and win new customers, projects, and tenders across the territory;

- prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure supply agreements;

- advise customers on grades, finishes, and specifications;

- resolve delivery and quality issues quickly with the internal team; and

- keep the CRM up to date and report on activity, forecasts,



and market trends.

You will be required to travel from time to time to regional areas as advised by your manager.

About you

- 3+ years in business-to-business external sales, ideally in metals, steel, industrial or building products

- A track record of hitting targets and winning new business

- Stainless steel knowledge is desirable but not essential

- A confident negotiator who builds lasting relationships

- Organised and self-motivated, comfortable managing your own territory

- Confident with CRM, ERP, and Microsoft 365

- A current driver's licence and clean driving record

A trade background, industry contacts in Perth or experience with fabrication, food processing, mining, and/or construction customers will be highly regarded.
