About the role

This is an ongoing casual position as an experienced Steel Frame Roof Carpenter, with the opportunity to step into a Leading Hand position. Day-to-day work will primarily involve steel frame roof carpentry across Perth.

Key responsibilities

- Installation and erection of steel roof trusses
- Setting out roof systems from plans and layouts
- Installation of trusses, bracing, battens and associated roof framing components
- Cutting, fixing and modifying steel framing where required
- Checking levels, alignment, dimensions and overall roof quality
- Reading construction drawings and following manufacturer specifications
- Identifying and completing roof rectification/fix-up work when required
- Working safely at heights and following site safety requirements
- Coordinating with other trades and site supervisors
- Keeping jobs moving efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

About you

- Proven experience in steel frame roof carpentry




- Previous steel frame roofing experience
- White Card
- Relevant carpentry experience
- Own nail bag and basic hand tools
- Reliable transport
- Positive understanding of construction site safety
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Confident working with steel roof trusses and associated framing
- Able to read and understand plans, layouts and specifications
