We are seeking a part-time Nurse Coordinator to join The George Institute's REVERSE Project Research team and play a key role in delivering impactful health research.

Working closely with researchers and general practices across South Western Sydney, the REVERSE Nurse Coordinator will support the implementation of the REVERSE study protocol and intervention, helping to ensure high-quality project delivery and achievement of study objectives.

This role will play a key role contributing to the successful setup, coordination and delivery of research activities in line with best practice standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

- Participate in site initiation visits and facilitate the collection of site documents
- Coordinate the timeline and scheduling of the REVERSE intervention
- Assist practices in conducting practice data (POLAR) audits
- Assist practices in prioritising patients for recall and review
- File review of patient records and document the REVERSE protocol recommendations for monitoring and management
- Prepare audit data for workshops and meetings
- Work with practices to develop individual practice plans
- Ensure adherence to the research protocol and that the study is conducted and complies with all regulatory, state, national and internationally accepted guidelines for Good Clinical Practice in research (ICH GCP)
- Ensuring timely and accurate data collection and completion of relevant audits, surveys, consent forms.
- Prepare site folders, including developing templates where required
- Maintaining accurate records
- Cooperate with monitoring and/or auditing activities when required
- Participate in Project meetings, report on progress at responsible sites




- Provide reports with recommendations (based on evidence based guidelines) to GPs is part of the role

Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

- Current AHPRA registration (RN) registered nurse Level 2/3
- Experience of caring for patients with Type 2 Diabetes, CKD or CVD or primary care setting
- Experience managing electronic medical records and willing to learn primary care practice software including the POLAR audit tool
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability around the needs of the general practice potentially attending on different days each week.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
- Demonstrated effective communication, time management, administrative and organisational skills
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, with ability to influence others to achieve common goals
- NSW drivers' license and ability to travel to sites
- Ability to work well autonomously, with demonstrated ability to collaborate in small teams or with a wide range of varying stakeholders
- Strong focus on producing the highest quality of work and on ensuring optimum accuracy of outputs
- Maintain participant confidentiality and data security
- Proficiency in English language
- Sensitivity to and an understanding of the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse patients
- COVID vaccination evidence in line with current requirements
- 2022 Flu Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
- Based in Sydney

Experience using REDCap, conducting audits within primary care settings and a sound understanding of research consent processes will be highly regarded.
