Support Procurement. Help Develop New Products. Grow With A-FLO Equipment.

Full-time | 40 hours per week | Working hours negotiable for the right candidate

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is more than a procurement administration position - it is an opportunity to become an important part of the team supporting procurement, supplier management, product sourcing and product development at A-FLO Equipment.

As we continue to grow our product range and strengthen our procurement function, we are looking for a highly organised and proactive Procurement & Product Development Support person to join our team.

The initial focus of this role will be procurement support. As you develop your understanding of the A-FLO business, products and suppliers, you will progressively become more involved in supporting the Product Development portfolio.

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will provide practical support across day-to-day procurement activities while working closely with the National Operations Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager and National Technical Manager to support the Product Development portfolio.

This is a varied role for someone who enjoys being involved in different areas of the business, takes ownership of their work and wants the opportunity to develop their skills and take on greater responsibility over time.

You will be involved in everything from supplier communication and purchase orders through to sourcing new products, coordinating samples and supporting the introduction of new products to the A-FLO range.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Procurement & Product Development Support, you will provide practical support across two key areas of the business - procurement and product development.

Procurement

Your initial and primary focus will be supporting the Procurement Manager with day-to-day procurement tasks.

This will include purchase orders, supplier communication, order tracking, pricing, lead times, product information and general procurement administration.

You will play an important role in ensuring procurement activities are organised, accurate and followed through from purchase order to delivery.

Product Development

Alongside your procurement responsibilities, you will support the National Operations Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager and National Technical Manager with the Product Development portfolio.

As you develop your knowledge of A-FLO's products, suppliers and markets, you will become increasingly involved in product sourcing and development activities.

You will support the process of bringing new products into the A-FLO range - from initial research and supplier engagement through to samples, evaluation, documentation and launch.





Your responsibilities will include:

Procurement & Supplier Support

- Supporting the Procurement Manager with day-to-day procurement tasks.

- Raising and maintaining purchase orders.

- Communicating with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and lead times.

- Tracking outstanding orders and following up supplier commitments.

- Maintaining accurate supplier and product information in NetSuite.

- Following up procurement issues and helping coordinate practical solutions.

- Supporting supplier research and identifying alternative sources.

- Assisting with supplier communication and relationship management.

- Ensuring procurement actions and commitments are followed through.

Product Sourcing & Development Support

- Supporting the National Operations Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager and National Technical Manager with the Product Development portfolio.

- Researching potential products, suppliers and alternative sources.

- Requesting and coordinating product samples and product information.

- Supporting product testing and evaluation activities.

- Coordinating information between Procurement, Operations, Sales & Marketing and Technical.

- Supporting the introduction of new products into the A-FLO range.

- Assisting with product specifications, datasheets, manuals and other product information.

- Supporting packaging, labelling and product presentation requirements.

- Assisting with product launches and related marketing activities.

- Assisting with product reviews, updates and discontinued products.

- Maintaining accurate product information as products are developed, updated or introduced.

Product & Business Administration

- Maintaining accurate product pricing and information across relevant systems.

- Supporting accurate product data within NetSuite and other relevant systems.

- Following up outstanding actions and ensuring commitments are completed.

- Coordinating information between internal departments and external suppliers.

- Providing general administrative and coordination support across procurement and product development activities.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In this role, success will be demonstrated by your ability to:

- Provide reliable and organised support to the Procurement Manager.

- Keep procurement activities accurate and on track.

- Ensure purchase orders and supplier commitments are followed through.

- Build positive and effective relationships with suppliers.

- Maintain accurate product, supplier and pricing information.

- Provide effective support to the National Operations Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager and National Technical Manager across Product Development.

- Identify potential new products, suppliers and sourcing opportunities.

- Coordinate samples, product information and testing efficiently.

- Support the successful introduction of new products.

- Communicate effectively across Procurement, Operations, Sales & Marketing and Technical.

- Identify issues early and take ownership of getting them resolved.





- Reduce delays and unnecessary administration through good organisation and follow-through.

- Develop a strong understanding of A-FLO's products, suppliers and markets.

- Take on increasing responsibility as your knowledge and capability develop.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive, commercially aware and comfortable working across multiple areas of the business.

You will ideally have:

- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, product administration or a similar role.

- Robust organisational and administrative skills.

- Excellent attention to detail.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.

- A practical approach to problem solving.

- Good commercial awareness and common sense.

- The ability to understand and work with product and technical information.

- Experience using an ERP system; NetSuite experience would be advantageous.

- An interest in products, sourcing and understanding how things work.

- A willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

- A proactive approach to identifying issues and finding practical solutions.

- A strong sense of accountability and follow-through.

Previous experience in the fluid handling, industrial, automotive, mining or related industries would be valuable, but is not essential.
