About the Role

Waikiki Private Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses with Endoscopy and/or Theatre experience to join our team in part-time and casual positions.

These roles are fundamental to delivering exceptional patient care throughout the patient journey. Working collaboratively with Visiting Medical Officers and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of endoscopic and surgical procedures.

Based in Waikiki, WA, these positions offer flexibility while providing the opportunity to work in a supportive private hospital environment committed to clinical excellence and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

1. Providing direct patient care, assessment and monitoring throughout the patient journey, including admission, procedure, recovery and discharge.

2. Preparing patients for endoscopic and surgical procedures and providing education and support to patients and their families.

3. Assisting clinicians during procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

4. Performing Scrub/Scout duties within Theatre environment.

5. Performing the role of Procedural nurse or Circulating nurse in Endoscopy

6. Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

7. Monitoring patients in the recovery area and responding appropriately to changes in patient condition.

8. Ensuring equipment is checked, maintained and available for procedures.

9. Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient clinical environment.

10. Complying with infection prevention and control standards, accreditation requirements and hospital policies.

11. Participating in quality improvement activities and contributing to positive patient outcomes.

12. Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the efficient operation of the Endoscopy Unit and Theatre Department.

What We're Looking For

- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse.





- Demonstrated Endoscopy and/or Theatre nursing experience.

- Experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Endoscopy Procedure Room

- Endoscopy Recovery

- Theatre Scrub/Scout

- Anaesthetics

- PACU/Recovery

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and infection control procedures.

- Ability to work flexibly within part-time or casual arrangements and adapt to changing clinical demands

- A compassionate approach to patient care with the ability to respond sensitively to patient concerns.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
