About the Opportunity
n
La Vita Care are seeking experienced Disability Support Worker with a background in Mental Health to cover a variety of shifts across our Blackburn and Heidelberg sites.
n
Shifts that are available include:
n
Blackburn
n
n
Mondays - 8.30am to 1.30pm
n
Tuesdays – 6.30pm to 9.30pm
n
Wednesdays – 6.30pm to 9.30pm
n
Fridays – 6.30pm to 9.30pm




n
Monday – Sunday – 5pm to 9pm
n
Thursdays – 4pm to 10pm
n
n
You will support multiple clients with varying high complex disabilities.
n
The ability to slow down and hold a descent conversation across a variety of topics and enjoy a laugh is valued as well as your capacity to quickly understand and respond to changing client social, emotional, physical, and medical support needs.
n
Applicants should be prepared to support our clients with activities of daily living such as medication support, domestic duties, personal care and living their best life. Training will be provided.

Skills & Experience
n
n
Cert IV in Disability or a relevant qualification and a minimum of 6mths experience in the sector
n
Proven can‐do, positive and willing attitude
n
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
n
Friendly disposition and engaging manner
n
NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
Current First Aid Training
n
Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
n
Ability to work autonomously
n
