Are you an experienced Catering or Food Service Assistant looking for casual work within Aged Care?
n
Alliance Extra Staff is currently recruiting for a casual Catering / Food Service Assistant position with an Aged Care client located in the Caulfield area, VIC.
n
We are looking for someone with previous Aged Care catering or food services experience who is reliable, confident and available to work across morning and afternoon shifts.
n
About the Role
n
As a Catering / Food Service Assistant, your duties may include:
n
n
Setting up and delivering food and drink trolleys
n
Preparing and plating meals for residents
n
Assisting with texture-modified foods and fluids
n
Preparing sandwiches, salads, snacks and other food items
n
Assisting with meal service and distribution
n
Recording food temperatures and following food safety requirements
n
Washing dishes and maintaining clean and hygienic kitchen and food service areas
n
Following infection control and hygiene procedures
n
Working with modified diets and IDDSI guidelines
n
Supporting the wider catering team as required
n
n
What We're Looking ForTo be considered for this position, you will need:
n
n
Minimum 6 months' experience in a Catering or Food Service Assistant role within Aged Care
n
Experience with meal preparation,



plating and meal service
n
Knowledge of modified diets and IDDSI guidelines
n
Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and infection control requirements
n
Strong communication and teamwork skills
n
Reliability and confidence working within an Aged Care environment
n
Availability to work both morning and afternoon shifts
n
Current National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
n
Current Working With Children Check
n
Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
n
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
n
Current COVID-19 vaccinations (minimum three doses)
n
**** Influenza Vaccination
n
n
About the Opportunity

This is a casual position supporting an Aged Care client in the Caulfield area.
n
We are looking for someone who can provide reliable availability across both morning and afternoon shifts. As this is casual employment, shifts will be offered based on the client's requirements.
