The 4 Aussie Heroes Foundation is a not-for-profit charitable Foundation dedicated to supporting first responder and military personnel affected by PTSD and trauma.

At the heart of our mission is the "James Frizelle Camp Courage", a unique 17 building, 25-acre rural retreat located near Peak Crossing, Queensland. Through our nationally recognised 11-Day "Triumph over Trauma" Program, we provide life-changing support for current and former first responder and military personnel seeking a pathway forward.

We are seeking a dedicated and capable Grounds & Property Maintenance Person to take ownership of the presentation and maintenance of "Camp Courage".
n
This is much more than a mowing or gardening role.
n
This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, can operate independently and wants to contribute to something that genuinely makes a difference.

You will be trusted to work autonomously, plan and ensure all maintenance activities are completed to a high standard and on time.
n
Maintaining a safe, professional and welcoming environment for our Participants is critical to the success of our Programs.
n
Responsibilities Include
n
n
Extensive mowing and brush cutting across the property
n
Grounds maintenance and property presentation, including weed control
n
General building maintenance and minor repairs
n
Machinery, vehicle and equipment servicing and upkeep
n
Planning and scheduling maintenance activities
n
Maintaining maintenance records and reporting
n
Managing workplace safety within your area of responsibility
n
Identifying and addressing maintenance issues proactively
n

Current driver's licence
n
Experience operating ride-on and zero turn mowers and brush cutters
n
Property maintenance experience
n
Machinery maintenance skills
n
Planning and scheduling experience
n
Ability to work autonomously
n
National Police Check
n
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
n
Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
n
Strong employment references
n
Full Australian working rights
n
Chainsaw experience
n

Highly Desirable
n
n
Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) accreditation (??)
n
Trade qualification in Carpentry, Landscaping, Horticulture, Mechanical, Rural Operations or similar
n
Experience working with volunteers
n
First responder or military background or some connection to this demographic
n

Full-time permanent position following probation

Monday to Friday employment with occasional weekend work

Typical hours 7:30am to 4:00pm but open to considering other time ranges
