The Role
n
Reporting into the broader business, this is a standalone role responsible for procurement across direct spend, with a strong focus on establishing processes, improving supplier management and delivering commercial value.

Own procurement across key direct spend categories
n
Develop procurement processes, systems and ways of working from the ground up
n
Build and manage strong supplier relationships and commercial partnerships
n
Support sourcing, tendering, negotiation and supplier selection activities
n
Identify cost, supply and process improvement opportunities
n
Improve visibility of spend,



pricing and supplier performance
n
Partner closely with Operations, Planning, Quality and Finance
n
Support supplier reviews, contracts and ongoing commercial negotiations
n
Establish greater procurement discipline across the business
n

Your Background
n
This role will suit a mid-level procurement professional who enjoys working autonomously and has the capability to build structure in a developing workplace.
n
n
Proven procurement experience across direct spend
n
Experience within food, FMCG or manufacturing environments
n
Protein, meat or agricultural category experience highly regarded
n
Strong supplier management, negotiation and commercial skills
n
Comfortable developing processes and systems in a low-maturity environment
n
Robust analytical and problem-solving capability
n
Hands-on, self-directed approach with strong stakeholder management skills
n
