Job Details
The Commercial Application Delivery Section within the Business Solutions Branch of DFAT's Information Management and Technology Division is seeking highly motivated and experienced Salesforce Developers to support projects developing Salesforce applications.
As a Salesforce Developer, you will implement and deliver solutions that meet clients' business requirements within a project delivery team. You will collaborate with the Solution Lead to prepare designs and use out-of-the-box features and configuration to maximise value, sustainability and best practice when customising with code.
You will work closely with business analysts and testers to ensure releases meet business requirements, acceptance criteria and quality assurance standards.



You will also work with the release manager to deliver releases through the DevOps pipeline and meet quality standards at each step.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements.
Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices.
Translate application designs into functional configurations and code, in line with development and configuration standards.
Support quality assurance and release management operations to ensure artefacts can be properly tested and deployed.
Produce design, solution and technical documentation as required by the project.

The Commercial Application Section (CFS) in the Business Solutions branch delivers critical ICT solutions to enable the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) to efficiently perform its function. We have a broad and varied capability scope across the business areas of DFAT, from Crisis and Consular services, Scholarships and Aid, and Trade; ensuring a very interesting and crucial workload. Selection Criteria
Essential Criteria
Minimum 3+ years in performing Salesforce development.
Have specialist ICT skills in the following:
Demonstrated experience to design, build and deliver enterprise level integrated solutions and follow Salesforce best practices
Demonstrated experience in configuring Salesforce. Ability to build/ modify custom Objects, Flows, Permission sets, sharing and other related configuration and settings.
Advanced demonstrated experience in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Omnistudio, Aura, JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
Public Sector Solutions and Experience cloud.
Experience in using version control and advanced CI/ CD tooling.
Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and Omni Studio Developer/ Consultant.
Minimum current/active NV1 security clearance.
Desirable Criteria
Certified Salesforce Platform Developer II or any Salesforce Architect Certification like Data Designer/ Sharing and Visibility Designer.
Certified Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) or Salesforce Data Cloud Consultant.
