Duties
Set up and operate Wire EDM machinery for precision cutting and tooling work
Manufacture, repair and modify dies, moulds, jigs, fixtures, gauges and tool roomcomponents
Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, job sheets and technical specifications
Complete machine setup, work holding, wire selection and cutting parameters.
Inspect finished components using verniers, micrometers and gauges




Maintain safe work practices and keep machinery, tools and work areas clean and organised
Carry out basic CNC machining, manual machining, grinding, fitting and general tool roomduties as required
Requirements
Experience operating Wire EDM machines
Trade background as a Toolmaker, Tool and Die Maker or Fitter Machinist
3rd or 4th year Tool makingapprentices with relevant experience may also be considered
Able to read engineering drawings and work accurately to tight tolerances
Experience with moulds, dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges or precision tooling preferred
