Mackay Regional Council are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer (Level 3 Stream B) to join our Infrastructure & Operations team within Civil Operations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of essential civil infrastructure while working as part of a supportive and safety-focused team.

As a Labourer, you will assist with a variety of civil construction and maintenance activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to the community.

Key Responsibilities
n

Undertake general labouring duties associated with civil works and infrastructure maintenance.
n
Assist with road, drainage, footpath and associated civil maintenance activities.
n
Operate hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner.
n
Support the operation of plant and equipment as required and appropriately licensed.
n
Assist with traffic management and site set-up activities.
n
Maintain a strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
n
Work collaboratively within a team environment to achieve operational objectives.
n
Ensure worksites are maintained in a clean, safe and professional condition.
n

About You
n
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate

Experience in labouring, civil construction, maintenance, or a related field.
n
Ability to performphysically demanding tasks in outdoor environments.
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
n
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Reliability, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.

Qualifications Essential
n
n
Construction Industry White Card.
n
C Class Driver Licence.
n
n
Desirable
n
n
Traffic Management qualifications.
n
Relevant plant or machinery tickets/licences.
n
Minimum MR Driver Licence.
n
