West Crane Services (WCS) is a 100% Australian-owned, family business and Victoria's largest crane service and installation company. Established in ****, we design, manufacture, install, and service overhead cranes and lifting equipment for industrial and commercial clients across Australia. With branches in Truganina and Dandenong with a growing team — and we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to help us deliver our biggest and best projects yet.

The Role
n
As Project Manager, you'll own our overhead crane manufacture and installation projects from the moment they're handed over — right through to completion. You'll work closely with our Operations Manager and Project Engineer, taking full responsibility for scheduling, site mobilisation, installation, and delivering a outstanding experience for our customers.

You'll be the driving force behind getting projects out the door on time, on budget, and to the standard our customers expect.

What you'll be doing
n
Taking ownership of projects from handover through to completion, as the single point of accountability
n
Acting as the primary point of contact for customers — including attending site for measurements and progress updates
n
Developing and managing the schedule across all projects and production
n




Planning and managing site mobilisation, installation, freight, and cranage
n
Managing the fabrication shop schedule and working closely with the workshop team
n
Responsibility for project QA — on site and in the workshop — alongside our Project Engineer
n
Reporting project status regularly to the Operations Manager
n
What we're looking for
n
Proven experience in project management — ideally in crane, steel fabrication, or industrial installation
n
A background managing steel fabrication or installation projects end-to-end
n
Excellent customer service and stakeholder management skills
n
Experience coordinating site works, freight, cranage, and contractors
n
The ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
n
A trade, engineering, or project management background (formal PM qualifications a bonus, not essential)
n
A current driver's licence
n
