We are currently seeking an experienced
Warehouse Coordinator
to join an established furniture and logistics operation based in
Virginia
.
This is a varied, hands-on position suited to someone who can
organise, coordinate and get the job done
.
You will play a key role in coordinating freight, interstate jobs, deliveries, labour and furniture assembly while also assisting with the practical warehouse requirements.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where
short-notice jobs can arise
, and where strong organisation and communication are essential.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and organising interstate jobs from planning through to completion
Booking and coordinating freight and transport
Picking and preparing furniture and equipment for delivery
Coordinating deliveries and dispatch
Loading and unloading containers
Organising labour requirements for individual jobs
Coordinating and assisting with furniture assembly
Supervising and coordinating manual labour as required
Operating a forklift
Ensuring freight, furniture and equipment are prepared correctly and on time
Managing short-notice and time-sensitive jobs
Coordinating interstate work approximately
1-2 times per month
Travelling interstate when required, generally
2-5 nights per trip
Liaising with freight providers, drivers, contractors and internal teams
Maintaining an organised, safe and efficient warehouse
Assisting with general manual warehouse duties when required
About You
We are looking for someone who is
organised,



practical and hands-on
, with the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts at once.
You will ideally have:
Previous experience in warehouse coordination, logistics, transport or a similar role
Robust organisational and time-management skills
The ability to coordinate labour and multiple jobs simultaneously
Experience booking and coordinating freight
Excellent communication skills
The ability to work calmly when jobs arise at short notice
A practical, hands-on approach to warehouse operations
Forklift operating experience
Experience loading and unloading containers
The physical ability to undertake manual handling and furniture movement
A willingness to travel interstate when required
A reliable and proactive approach to getting the job completed
Requirements
Current Forklift Licence
White Card
Full Australian working rights
Ability to travel interstate approximately
1-2 times per month
Ability to stay away for approximately
2-5 nights when required
Flu vaccination required
Previous warehouse, logistics, freight or furniture experience highly regarded
