Speech Pathologist – Acute Adult Caseload

You'll work autonomously across a varied adult acute caseload, collaborating closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams across several hospital sites. The caseload includes patients requiring assessment and management of dysphagia and communication disorders, including complex acute presentations.

Key responsibilities
n
Work autonomously across multiple hospital sites in the North Sydney area
n
Assess and manage patients with dysphagia and communication disorders
n
Manage complex acute presentations
n
Collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health teams
n
Conduct VFSS assessments
n
Manage patients with tracheostomies
n
About you
n
Experience working with acute adult hospital caseloads
n
Competency and confidence with VFSS
n
Experience managing patients with tracheostomies
n
Strong dysphagia assessment and management skills
n
Confidence working autonomously within the hospital environment
n
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
n
Appropriate Speech Pathology qualifications,
registration/membership
and skilled insurances
