Occupational Therapist - Community Mental Health Key Clinician

Join RMH Mental Health Service as a clinician in our Community Team 3, based in Moonee Ponds. Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you'll provide evidence-based, recovery-oriented care to consumers experiencing mental ill health or distress.
n
You'll work alongside Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Registered Psychiatric Nurses and Psychologists, collaborating with consumers, families and carers to support recovery and wellbeing.
n

Key Accountabilities
n
n
Work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, bringing your professional expertise to achieve positive outcomes for consumers.
n
Provide clinical assessment, treatment and evidence-based interventions for consumers with complex mental health needs, including support for families and carers.
n
Collaborate with NDIS, accommodation, primary care and other service providers to coordinate care and support recovery.
n
Manage a varied caseload, providing both routine and intensive support based on consumer needs.
n
Provide supervision to staff and students, contribute to clinical reviews and promote your profession within the multidisciplinary team.
n
Deliver specialist interventions for people experiencing low-prevalence mental health disorders, including through discipline-specific clinics and programs.

About You
n
You'll bring a strong clinical foundation,
collaborative approach and commitment to supporting people experiencing complex mental health needs. You'll also bring:
n
n
A relevant qualification as a Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Clinical Psychologist.
n
Experience in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability is desirable, with training and development provided.
n
A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in your profession.
n
A commitment to developing your clinical practice within mental health and contributing to high-quality, evidence-based care.
n
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, while also managing your work autonomously.
n
Confidence supporting people experiencing drug and alcohol-related issues, including working with families and carers.
n
Strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
n
Flexibility to work across a range of settings, including some out-of-hours shifts.
n
A current Victorian Driver's Licence and ability to use a vehicle for work purposes.
