About the role As a Tip Shop Supervisor, this is your opportunity to coordinate the daily operations of the Tip Shop, delivering a safe, efficient and welcoming customer experience.
You will support store performance through retail operations, cash handling and volunteer supervision, while contributing to The Salvation Army's mission.
Reporting to the Community Liaison and Connections Worker, this is a 6-month max term, part-time role, offering ***** hours a week, based on site in Griffith, NSW.
How you will make an impact Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tip Shop, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for customers and volunteers.
Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to enquiries, resolving issues and supporting a positive shopping experience.




Manage stock presentation, pricing and merchandising to maximise sales and maintain retail standards.
Support cash handling and point-of-sale processes, including daily reconciliations and accurate record keeping.
Supervise, train and coordinate volunteers, ensuring effective performance, engagement and compliance requirements.
Promote workplace safety by maintaining safe work practices and reporting hazards, incidents and risks in line with policy.
What you will bring Demonstrated experience in retail and/or customer service.
Experience in mentoring / training staff or ability to demonstrate capability to undertake.
Proficient in POS systems, as well as a willingness to learn and utilise other systems A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check is required Drivers Licence Willingness and capacity to work weekend trading hours.
A reasonable level of fitness in order to carry out the duties of this position What we offer Purchased Leave Scheme (up to 8 weeks) and 5 days paid leave per year to experience working in other TSA programs or activities.
