We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Tax Accountant to join our dedicated Tax Team in Brisbane — a broad, high-ownership role with primary responsibility for multi-jurisdictional tax compliance, process improvement and cross-functional projects.
This is not a standard compliance position; it suits a technically robust tax professional with a solid accounting foundation who thrives on complexity and autonomy.
More about the role: Assist with the preparation and timely lodgement of group income tax returns Assist with the preparation and timely lodgement of GST (or equivalent), FBT (or equivalent) and Non-Resident withholding tax returns in all jurisdictions in which Michael Hill operates.
Involvement in process improvements across all areas of direct and indirect tax Assist with audit and risk review related enquiries from state and federal revenue authorities globally.
