The Role In line with the continued expansion of our business, we are currently recruiting permanent full-time Welders for our ongoing projects in Sydney NSW.
Duties and Responsibilities Read drawings, plans and job specifications to understand the work required and determine the materials and measurements needed.
Select and set up the appropriate welding equipment and welding method for different steel components and fabrication jobs.
Use grinders, cutting equipment and other workshop tools to prepare, shape and finish materials before welding.
Measure, position and secure steel components using appropriate tools and equipment to ensure they are correctly aligned before welding.
Carry out welding and fabrication work on steel components used in the company's ground engineering, slope stabilisation, piling and civil construction projects.




Fabricate, repair and modify steel frames, brackets, supports and other components used for RIX Group's projects and equipment.
Check completed welds and fabricated items for quality, strength and any visible defects, and carry out repairs or adjustments where necessary.
Keep welding equipment, tools and the work area clean, organised and protected, and report any equipment faults or maintenance issues.
Requirements and Skills Relevant trade qualification in Welding or Fabrication is desirable, or at least 3 years of practical experience working as a Welder can be considered.
Previous experience with different welding equipment and processes, preferably in a construction, fabrication or civil engineering environment.
Confident using common workshop tools and equipment Able to read and understand drawings, plans and basic technical information relevant to welding and fabrication work.
Good understanding of safe welding practices and the ability to carry out work to the required quality and project standards.
Able to work well with supervisors, tradespeople and other members of the project team and follow instructions accurately.
Reliable, hands-on and willing to learn, with a practical approach to solving problems and completing work to a high standard.
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
