Consultant Intensivist | Regional Trauma Centre | Victoria The Opportunity We are working closely with a well-established Intensive Care Unit within a major regional referral hospital in Victoria and are keen to connect with CICM-qualified Intensivists interested in a full-time role offering clinical autonomy, breadth and structured regional critical care.
The ICU supports both high-acuity medical and surgical patients, with exposure to trauma, sepsis, peri-operative critical care and complex medical presentations.
This role will appeal to Intensivists seeking hands-on practice within a stable and consultant-led environment.
The Hospital This is a large regional hospital of approximately 300 beds functioning as the primary acute referral centre for the South West region.
The Intensive Care Unit includes: • Dedicated Intensive Care and High Dependency beds • 24/7 ventilatory and critical care support • Close integration with Emergency and Anaesthetics • Designated regional trauma centre • Peri-operative critical care support • Established referral pathways to metropolitan tertiary centres The ICU operates within a structured multidisciplinary model with strong consultant presence and junior medical support.
