Job Description
Elastomers Australia are seeking an experienced and hands on National HSEQ Manager with a background in the Manufacturing industry to join our team. The role is based in Campbellfield but would involve travel to other Manufacturing plants based in Thomastown and Airport West, as well as interstate offices from time to time. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this role will act as a business partner to all stakeholders to provide health and safety mentoring and support and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation. This role will also focus on leading the OHS team nationally in developing, maintaining and implementing health and safety initiatives, policies and procedures, as well as working closely with the Training / HR team to ensure training is up to date. This role will provide strategic leadership for the wider OHS team, driving the safety culture across the business.
Duties
Develop and drive OHS & QA requirements by complying with current company policies and procedures as well as any new initiatives to further develop the existing OHS functions
Complete internal and external audits, risk assessments, as well as managing the Company's ISO Quality process




Conduct incident investigations and root cause analysis of incidents, implement corrective actions and conduct regular reviews of the implemented controls
Coordinate effective consultation and communication with all levels of employees
Work closely with the HR / Training team to ensure training registers are completed and maintained
Deliver OH&S; training
Implement and monitor OH&S; rules and guidelines to ensure compliance with the legislation
Manage and lead the OHS team nationally
Drive the safety culture across the business allowing positive reporting.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar type role within a manufacturing environment
Minimum Diploma in OHS
A demonstrated in-depth knowledge of OHS legislation
Proven ability to lead a team of OHS professionals
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to communicate and develop rapport with all relevant stakeholders both internal and external
Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment
Ability to multitask and operate with a high degree of autonomy
Ability to drive safety initiatives and apply best practices
Knowledge of Australian mining processes and the various legislation (Desirable)
