Youth Disability Support Worker Brisbane and Gold coast Areas
Soul Support is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Disability Support Worker to join our team in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.
This is a casual position based in Brisbane areas, offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with disabilities.
As a Youth Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering young people to achieve their goals, build independence, and participate fully in their communities.
This position is fundamental to our mission of providing person-centred support that respects individual choice and promotes social inclusion.
We support kids, teens, and young adults and specialise in Autism and Neuro-affirming care.
Key responsibilities
Assist young people with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household management
Support social and community participation activities, helping young people access leisure, education, and employment opportunities
Build and maintain positive relationships with participants, their families, and carers, fostering trust and understanding
Promote independence and skill development by encouraging young people to undertake tasks and make decisions about their own lives
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of support provided and any observations relevant to the individual's wellbeing
Communicate effectively with the wider support team, including supervisors and allied health professionals
Respond to unexpected changes or challenges with flexibility and professionalism
Adhere to all health and safety protocols, duty of care obligations, and organisational policies
About you
Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and secondary disabilities
A genuine passion for supporting young people with disabilities and commitment to person-centred care




Previous experience in disability support and working with youth
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with diverse individuals
A non-judgmental and respectful approach, with commitment to promoting dignity and choice
Reliable, punctual, and flexible attitude suited to casual work arrangements
Ability to work independently and use initiative whilst seeking guidance when needed
Valid Working with Children Check, Current First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to complete training, valid driver's licence and access to reliable transport
