About the role
As the Payroll Team Lead, you'll own end-to-end payroll for the business across weekly and fortnightly pay cycles.
You'll report to the National Payroll Lead and work within a collaborative team of five.
You'll be a go-to person for employees and managers across the business, and a driver of compliance, accuracy and timeliness.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing daily payroll processing, including reviewing payroll data for accuracy
Managing timesheets, salary and wage payments, EOM reconciliations and payments, and the distribution of payroll deductions
Maintaining employee records
Making sure all legislated requirements are met and reporting obligations are handled correctly
Interpreting Awards and applying them confidently
Identifying and correcting potential payroll issues before they become problems
Supporting payroll system enhancements and improving processes and efficiencies
Mentoring, developing and training team members
About you
Proven experience managing end-to-end,



multi-frequency payroll cycles
Strong Award interpretation skills
A solid understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting
Working knowledge of payroll systems and processes
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot and fix issues early
Robust organisational, time management and communication skills
A self-motivated, goal-driven approach, with a track record of working well in a team
