Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is central to ICMS's purpose of educating students for personal success in their professional life.
This role enables learning activities that integrate theory with practice through the preparation,placement,monitoringandsupport of students undertaking skilled placements or graduate programs, while cultivating strong industry relationships.
This role is also pivotal in developing and managing a portfolio of alumni,industryand employer relationships, proactively seekingnewopportunitiesandproviding collaboration with various stakeholders.
The Professional Placement Consultant (Graduate &IndustryEngagement;)isanintegral member of the Employabilityteam,andisresponsibleforpreparing,mentoringandsupporting students through professional placement and graduate opportunities, while developing strong industry and alumni partnerships that enhance student employability outcomes.
Working closely with students,employers,alumniandacademic stakeholders, you will build and manage a portfolio of industry and alumnirelationships,identifyplacementand graduate opportunities, coordinateemployabilityinitiativesandevents,



and contribute to creating meaningful pathways from education to employment.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare students for successful workplace transitions through the delivery ofstudent/graduate readiness programs, including resume development, interview preparation, professionalbranding,networkingandcareer coaching.
Manage graduate employment pathways by supporting students through graduate program recruitment cycles, application processes, assessments, employerengagementactivitiesandcareer planning.
Develop andmaintainstrong industry partnerships that create employment, internship, mentoring and experiential learning opportunities for students and graduates.
Coordinate industry engagement initiatives, including employer presentations, networking events, industry days, masterclasses, alumnipanels,competitionsandcase challenges.
Facilitate student participation in employability-enhancing activities such as industry projects, awardsprograms,volunteering,professionaldevelopmentworkshopsandleadership opportunities.
Build and grow alumni engagement programs to expand mentoring networks, graduate pathways,industryconnectionsandemployer advocacy opportunities.
Collaborate with academic staff to embed employability and graduate readiness outcomes within curriculum and co-curricular learning experiences.
Monitor and report on student placement and graduateoutcomes,maintainingaccuraterecords,analysingtrendsandprovidingtimelysupportand escalation for workplace-related matters.




Maintain effective stakeholder management practices through theaccurateuse of CRM and LMS platforms, ensuring quality engagement records, reporting and communication with students,alumniand industry partners.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Work-Integrated Learning and Employability programs through project work, research, process enhancements,marketinginitiativesandrepresentation at internal and external forums.
To be successful in this role, you should hold the following attributes:
Degree qualified in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Provenbusiness development skills and ability to build,maintainand develop strong external and internal relationships
An understanding of recruitment and placement processes, with an interest in supporting students to develop and enhance their graduate employability skills
An understanding of work-integrated learning and its relevance to the required industries
Cross cultural skills and an understanding of the different approachesrequired
Superior computing skills (Office 365 and CRM e.g. Salesforce)
Proven ability to achieve targets and key deliverables in a demanding environment, balancing competing prioritieswhilemaintainingpositiveand productive working relationships.
Interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills
Attention to detail and an ability to focus on continuous improvement
Theability tocollaborate across teams toimplementinitiativesand projects
Previousexperience in the areas of study offered by the College
An understanding of the Australian HE and VET sectors
