We're urgently seeking an experiencedSenior Network Services Engineerfor a contract opportunity within amajor banking environmentin Sydney.
This is a hands‐on senior engineering role working across complex enterprise network infrastructure, with a strong focus onF5 technologies, network security, vulnerability remediation, routing and switching, firewalls, wireless networking, and enterprise troubleshooting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for thedesign, configuration, implementation, security, remediation and supportof critical network services within a highly regulated enterprise environment.
The Role
Administering, configuring and troubleshootingF5 technologies, includingLTM, GTM and BIG-IQ
ManagingVirtual Servers, Pools, Health Monitors, SSL Offloading, High Availability and F5 upgrades
Performingnetwork vulnerability assessment, remediation, patching and security hardening
Investigating and remediatingCVEs and network security vulnerabilities
Configuring, deploying and maintainingswitches, routers, firewalls and wireless infrastructure
SupportingCisco routing and switching, including OSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP and EtherChannel
Administering and troubleshootingCisco ASA, Cisco FTD and Palo Alto firewalls
ManagingNAT, ACLs, security policies, logging and traffic‐flow troubleshooting
Supporting wireless environments, includingWLC administration, AP onboarding and WLAN configuration
Troubleshooting complexnetwork performance, connectivity and security incidents
Managing major incidents and performingroot cause analysis (RCA)
Supporting network migrations, upgrades and implementation activities
Developing detailedimplementation plans,



testing procedures and rollback plans
Working within formalchange, release and CAB processes
Performing device configuration reviews and supportingsecurity hardening and compliance initiatives
Working closely withInfrastructure, Cyber Security, internal stakeholders, customers and vendors
Maintainingnetwork diagrams, operational runbooks, SOPs, implementation plans and technical documentation
Providing senior technical guidance throughout project and operational delivery
Travelling toSydney-based sites and Data Centresas required
What We're Looking For
Minimum5+ years' Network Engineering experiencewithin large‐scale enterprise environments
Strong hands‐on experience withF5 technologies, particularlyLTM and GTM
Experience withBIG‐IQ, Virtual Servers, Pools, Health Monitors, SSL Offloading, HA, upgrades and troubleshooting
Strong experience innetwork security and vulnerability remediation
Experience withpatching, security hardening, CVE remediation and configuration reviews
Robust Cisco routing and switching knowledge, includingOSPF, BGP, VLANs, STP, HSRP and EtherChannel
Strong firewall experience across technologies such asCisco ASA, Cisco FTD and Palo Alto
Solid understanding ofNAT, ACLs, security policies, logging and traffic‐flow analysis




Experience supportingenterprise wireless environments, including WLCs, APs and WLANs
Strong knowledge ofTCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs and network security
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex enterprise network incidents and performingRCA
Experience delivering network changes through structuredchange and release management processes
Ability to prepare detailedimplementation, testing and rollback plans
Experience working collaboratively withInfrastructure and Cyber Security teams
Strong documentation skills acrossnetwork diagrams, runbooks, SOPs and technical implementation documentation
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience withinbanking, financial services or another highly regulated enterprise environmentis highly regarded
Relevant certifications such asCCNA, CCNP, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto or Arubaare highly regarded
White Cardis desirable
Willingness to travel to customer sites and Data Centres as required
