What you'll be doing
Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming walls, ceilings, timber and other materials
Applying paint, stains and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment
Mixing paint colours and ensuring consistency with project specifications
Using hand tools and equipment safely and effectively, including ladders, scaffolding and access equipment
Protecting surrounding areas and structures from paint splatter and damage during application
Following health and safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organised work site
Learning to read and interpret building plans, specifications and technical drawings
Working collaboratively with senior painters, construction teams and site supervisors
Assisting with the maintenance and care of painting equipment and tools
Completing on-the-job training whilst undertaking structured apprenticeship coursework
What we're looking for
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in the painting and decorating trade
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
Solid attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards learning
Ability to follow instructions and work safely in accordance with health and safety regulations
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
A current or valid driver's license is preferred




No prior painting experience is required—we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn
