The Artisan Butcher Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Head Butcher to join our team in Coogee, NSW.
As the Senior Head Butcher, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy butchery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer service are maintained.

What you'll be doing
Manage and supervise a team of butchers, ensuring they adhere to all safety and quality protocols
Oversee the processing, cutting, and preparation of a wide variety of meat products to exacting specifications
Assist in the development and implementation of new product ideas
Liaise with suppliers to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of fresh meat
Provide exceptional customer service and assist in the training and development of junior staff
Maintain detailed records and inventory management to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
Ensure the butchery adheres to all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Head Butcher or in a senior butchery management role
Thorough knowledge of meat cutting, processing, and preservation techniques
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team




Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
A passion for the culinary arts and a deep understanding of the artisanal butchery industry
Food safety and hygiene certification, or willingness to obtain
