About the role
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at our Belmont NSW office on a full time basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting services to our valued clients.
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in the delivery of quality accounting solutions, working across multiple client engagements whilst maintaining the highest standards of qualified practice.
This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise further whilst contributing meaningfully to the success of our clients and the firm.

Key responsibilities
Prepare, review and finalise financial statements and tax returns for clients across various industries
Manage and supervise accounting projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope
Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation for compliance purposes
Assist with tax planning and compliance matters, including GST, PAYG and company tax obligations
Mentor and support junior accounting staff in their professional development
Maintain compliance with professional accounting standards and regulatory requirements




Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the firm's service delivery excellence
Build and maintain strong client relationships through quality service and clear communication
What we're looking for
A degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
Membership of a recognised accounting body such as CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ), or the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), or demonstrated progress towards such qualification
Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in accounting, auditing or financial advisory roles
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation and financial reporting requirements in Australia
Proficiency with accounting software packages and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements and prioritise work effectively
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
A professional approach to client service with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms would be advantageous
