Civil Construction Supervisor – Metalliferous Mining Project
RMS Engineering & Constructionis seeking an experiencedCivil Construction Supervisorto join our team on our one of our Metalliferous Mining Projects in North Queensland.
This is a hands‐on supervisory role suited to someone who has worked incivil construction within a mining environmentand understands what it takes to lead crews safely, efficiently and to a high standard on a live mining operation.
The Chance
Working as part of the project delivery team, you will be responsible for supervising day‐to‐day civil construction activities across the project, ensuring works are delivered safely, productively and in accordance with project requirements.
The role will suit an experienced Leading Supervisor / Civil Supervisor who is ready to take ownership of site operations and lead a team in a mining infrastructure environment.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising civil construction crews and subcontractors across the project
Coordinating daily site activities, plant, labour and resources
Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications
Providing strong leadership and direction to the site team
Working closely with the Project Manager and site management team to achieve project milestones
Monitoring productivity, quality and progress of works
Participating in pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site inspections
Identifying and addressing construction issues as they arise
Maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance and quality
Supporting project planning, coordination and reporting requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who brings genuinecivil construction and mining infrastructure experience, along with the ability to lead a site team and take ownership of day‐to‐day delivery.




To be successful, you will have:
Demonstrated experience as aCivil Construction Supervisor & or Leading Supervisor
Strong background incivil construction within the mining industry
Experience working onmining infrastructure projects
Proven ability to lead and coordinate construction crews
Strong understanding of civil construction methodology, plant and productivity
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and project documentation
Strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental requirements
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively with project management, client representatives and the wider site team
Current driver's licence
Ability to successfully complete all required site inductions and medical requirements
Tailings Experience – Highly Regarded
Experience working ontailings storage facility (TSF) construction, lifts or expansionswill be highly regarded.
In particular, experience with civil works associated withTSF lifts, embankment construction, raise/expansion works, drainage or associated mining infrastructurewill be viewed favourably.
