Where you'll be working
Join the Allied Health team across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting Occupational Therapy services that help patients maximise their functional independence.
You'll work alongside experienced health professionals in a collaborative environment where your contribution directly supports patient care.
Work across varied clinical and patient care environments
Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists and the wider healthcare team
Support patients with therapy, exercise and education programs
Develop positive relationships with patients, carers and colleagues
Be part of a team committed to safe, high-quality and person-centred care
What you'll be doing
Assist with individual and group therapy, exercise and education programs
Support patients to maximise functional independence through therapy
Observe and report changes in patient function, progress and presentation
Accurately document attendance, therapy activities and objective observations
Manage allocated workloads and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
Qualification: Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance is preferred.
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated effective interpersonal,



written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated previous experience working in a health environment
Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing member of the allied health team
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload delegated by supervising AHP's, meet deadlines and complete activities within scope of practice, seeking assistance as required
Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications
Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles and how it applies to the duties of the position
Demonstrated ability to work with disabled and or aged clients in a service or professional care giving capacity, in a positive manner enhancing the client's ability to achieve positive outcomes and personal goals
