Are you an experienced heavy-equipment technician ready to get off the tools and move into an office-based coordination role?
We're looking for a technically capable and solutions-focused Field Service Coordinator to coordinate servicing, breakdowns, repairs and warranty work for mobile earthmoving and construction equipment.
This is a rapid-paced position with regular overtime available.
You'll be the first point of contact for service-related customer enquiries, supported by the Service Manager, Service Coordinator and Leading Hand.

Our client is an established provider of heavy machinery and equipment solutions, delivering equipment sales, servicing, repairs and technical support to customers across the civil construction and earthmoving industries.
About the role
You'll coordinate the daily activities of approximately six workshop and field-service technicians.
You'll receive customer enquiries, assess the urgency of breakdowns and repairs, open service jobs and allocate technicians based on customer priorities, location and availability.
You'll also monitor work in progress, prepare invoices and warranty claims, and keep customers informed throughout the repair process.
This position would suit an experienced technician looking to transition from the tools into an office-based role while continuing to use their machinery knowledge and diagnostic experience.
We're looking for someone who finds solutions rather than roadblocks and can remain organised when priorities change throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for service-related customer enquiries
Coordinate servicing, breakdowns, repairs and preventative maintenance
Allocate work to approximately six workshop and field-service technicians
Prioritise urgent breakdowns and adjust schedules as operational requirements change
Provide technical support and assist with machinery fault diagnosis
Open, monitor and close workshop and field-service jobs




Prepare purchase orders, job documentation, invoices and service reports
Monitor work in progress, technician utilisation, job costs and completion timeframes
Prepare and submit warranty claims in accordance with OEM and dealership requirements
Machinery Experience
Relevant machinery knowledge may include:
Mini and large excavators
Wheel loaders
Skid steers and compact track loaders
Rollers and compaction equipment
Articulated dump trucks and site dumpers
Dozers and motor graders
Crushers, screens and associated attachments
Experience with brands such as Hyundai, Airman, Ammann, Rokbak or Bergmann would be highly regarded.
Comparable experience with Hitachi, Komatsu, CAT, Volvo CE, Kobelco, JCB, Kubota, Takeuchi, Case, New Holland or Bobcat is also relevant.
About You
Experience as a Service Coordinator, Field Service Coordinator, Workshop Controller, Leading Hand or senior technician
A trade background in mobile plant, heavy vehicle, earthmoving or industrial mechanics
Strong knowledge of civil construction and earthmoving machinery
Experience coordinating field technicians and allocating breakdown and repair work
Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capability
Experience with warranty claims and OEM or dealership processes
Understanding of invoicing, job costing and work-in-progress management
Candidates from an OEM, authorised equipment dealership, plant-hire business or civil construction equipment company will be highly regarded.
