A hands‐on, experienced Venue Manager to lead Assembly's front‐of‐house operation, build a strong team and help drive the venue's performance.

Assembly is an all‐day, seven‐day pub moving from breakfast and coffee into lunch, knock‐offs, live sport, family dinners, functions and late‐night drinks. You'll be visible on the floor, leading the team and making sure every service runs smoothly.

All front‐of‐house staff will report to you, including casual team members, supervisors, and the morning and bar managers. You'll work closely with the Sous Chef and wider Rabble management team to improve consistency across the floor, bar and kitchen.

About the role
n
Leading the day‐to‐day front‐of‐house operation across mornings, nights and weekends
n
Managing, training and developing casual staff, supervisors, and the morning and bar managers
n
Preparing rosters and deploying staff in line with forecast trade
n
Setting explicit service standards and resolving guest or operational issues
n
Supporting sales growth, staff retention and weekly financial targets
n
Working with the Sous Chef to improve coordination between the floor, bar and kitchen
n
Reliably delivering functions, sporting events and venue promotions
n
Building a leadership team capable of running excellent services in your absence
n




Contributing more broadly to events, promotions and commercial performance as you grow into the role
n
About you
n
Experience as a Venue Manager, Assistant Venue Manager or senior leader in a busy hospitality venue
n
A hands‐on leadership style and a genuine enjoyment of working with guests and staff
n
The ability to train people, give direct feedback and build capable leaders
n
A practical understanding of rostering, labour costs, sales and venue profitability
n
Calm, decisive judgement when plans or trading conditions change
n
Full‐time availability, including most weekends and key trading periods
n
A current ACT RSA, or the ability to obtain one before starting
n
Full Australian working rights

What we offer

A salary of $85,000 to $95,000 plus superannuation
n
A five‐day role averaging 40 to 45 hours per week
