About the Role
n
As an MC Road Train Operator, you will play a critical role in supporting our mining logistics operations by safely transporting mineral sands products and associated freight throughout regional New South Wales.
n
Operating within a safety-first culture, you will be responsible for ensuring all transport activities are completed efficiently, professionally, and in compliance with company and legislative requirements.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Operate MC road train combinations safely and efficiently.
n
Conduct daily pre-start, operational and post-trip vehicle inspections.
n
Comply with all NHVR, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
n




Complete transport documentation and electronic compliance records accurately.
n
Maintain high standards of vehicle presentation and care.
n
Work closely with logistics coordinators and site personnel to achieve production and delivery targets.
n
Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
n
Represent Basin Sands Logistics professionally at all times.
n

About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
Current MC (Multi Combination) Driver Licence.
n
Demonstrated experience operating MC combinations.
n
Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
n
Sound understanding of fatigue management legislation.
n
Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility obligations.
n
Ability to work independently in remote environments.
n
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
n
Reliable work ethic and professional attitude.
n
n
Highly Regarded
n
n
Previous road train experience.
n
Mining or remote operations experience.
n
Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability.
n
Experience using electronic work diaries and transport management systems.
