Entry-level automotive role with hands-on training and a potential apprenticeship pathway.
All Four x 4 is looking for anAutomotive Trades Assistantto join our Gearbox, Differential & Component Rebuilds Team at Kotara.
This is anentry-level automotive roleand would suit someone with valuable hands-on mechanical ability who is looking to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.
You donotneed previous automotive industry experience or a trade qualification.
What is important is that you are mechanically minded, enjoy pulling things apart and understanding how they work, and can demonstrate practical mechanical experience.
This may have come from working on your own cars, motorbikes, 4WDs, machinery or other mechanical projects.




For the right person, there is also the opportunity for this role to develop into aLight Vehicle Mechanic apprenticeship.
What your day-to-day will involve
Working alongside our experienced Component Rebuilds Team, your role will include:
Disassembling gearboxes, transfer cases, differentials and other automotive components
Cleaning and preparing components for inspection and rebuilding
Sandblasting, cleaning and painting components
Assisting with the inspection and assessment of dismantled parts
Sorting, identifying and maintaining component and parts stock
Preparing components and work areas for our rebuild technicians
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient rebuilds room
