The Role
n
Join a energetic Acute and General Medicine service with exposure to a diverse and rewarding case mix.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
Daily consultant-led ward rounds
n
Assessment and management of acute medical admissions
n
Providing clinical guidance for Emergency Department referrals
n
Participation in multidisciplinary team meetings
n
Supervision and support of junior medical staff and trainees
n
Delivery of education and teaching activities
n
Attendance at HOT (Hospital Outreach Treatment) clinics
n
Contributing to patient flow and discharge planning initiatives
n
n
You Will Be Supported By

Emergency Department Registrars

Multidisciplinary allied health teams

Experienced nursing staff
n

Roster
n
Monday to Friday
n
7:30am – 4:00pm
n
No mandatory on-call requirements.

Optional weekend on-call cover may be available by discussion and mutual agreement.

Experience in General and Acute Medicine

Eligibility to obtain a Medicare provider number
