Responsibilities
As the Engineering Manager, you'll lead a team of engineers responsible for a business-critical platform that powers customer communications across multiple brands and channels, including digital, email, SMS and print.
You'll balance people leadership with hands-on technical input, partnering closely with Product and other technology leaders to set direction and drive delivery.
Your role will also include:
Leading the design, delivery and continuous improvement of highly reliable, secure and scalable platforms and integrations.
Driving API-first, event-driven integration between on-prem and SaaS platforms.
Coaching, mentoring and developing engineers, building a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
Owning technical strategy alongside Product and senior technology stakeholders.
Championing CI/CD, DevOps, observability and production support best practices.
Balancing customer needs, technical priorities, regulatory compliance and delivery pace.
Providing hands-on technical leadership on solution design when required.

Requirements
6+ years' experience in software engineering, including 4-5+ years in an engineering leadership or management role.
Strong hands-on background in .
NET technologies (C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core).
Experience designing and building system integrations using REST APIs, events and messaging.
Experience with distributed systems and up-to-date architectures, including microservices, serverless and cloud-native environments.
Strong experience with AWS and containerised workloads.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies (SQL Server, DynamoDB, Redis or similar).
Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, observability and production support practices.
Proven experience leading, coaching and developing engineers.
Strong stakeholder management and delivery skills.
Experience with print, SMS or email communications platforms is a bonus but not essential.
