About the role
The Aqua Jetty in Warnbro is a major aquatic and fitness hub forfamilies living in and around Rockingham.
Located on Warnbro SoundAvenue, the facility includes a 50m Olympic size outdoor pool,indoor leisure pool, toddler pool, spa, sauna and hydrotherapypool.
The Rockingham Aquatic Centre is a seasonal facility open tothe public from mid-September to mid-April.
Working as part of the Aqua Jetty and Rockingham Aquatic CentreOperations teams, you will be responsible for supervision of PoolSupervisors, Lifeguards and Pool Assistants.
The role also plays acritical role in providing support to the AssistantCoordinator(Operations)by ensuring compliance with workplace health andsafety procedures and standards of service.
To be successful, you must possess well developed leadershipskills, time management and conflict resolution skills.
You haveprevious experience in a large aquatic facility, or similar, whichinvolved you being tasked with supervising others and ensuringefficient operations.
You must possess a current Aquatic TechnicalOperationsCertificate(WA), LIWA Accreditation, Pool Lifeguard Certificate,Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus and Chlorine Gas HandlingTraining and up to date Provide First Aid Certificate and CPRCertificate.
To be considered for this role, you must address thefollowing selection criteria as part of your onlineapplication:




A sound knowledge of aquatic facilityoperation,programmingand pool plant management
The ability to set priorities, manage time,coordinateresourcesand monitor performance
An ability to negotiate solutions to problems, and remaincalm when dealing with complaints
Experience in staff supervision and building acollaborative work environment
Experience in a similar role leading an Aquatic Team in alarge leisure facility
We are offering a gross salary of $86,797 perannum, as well as:
12% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute upto 5%
