Senior Lecturer in Early Childhood Education

The CIHE Australia is seeking highly motivated and experienced Senior Early Childhood Education Lecturers to join our academic team. As a senior lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, assessments and research supervision to our undergraduate and postgraduate students. This position is based at our Hurstville campus.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Supervising HDR students, providing academic guidance, research mentorship, and support throughout their research candidature
n
Preparing and delivering engaging lectures, tutorials and workshops to undergraduate and postgraduate students
n
Developing and marking assessments, including exams, essays and projects
n
Providing academic advice and support to students, including supervising research projects
n
Participating in curriculum development and review to ensure course content is relevant and up-to-date
n
Conducting research and publishing in high-quality academic journals to contribute to the institute's research profile
n
Undertaking administrative duties such as student consultations, committee work and attending staff meetings
n
Mentor, coach, and develop academic staff – lifting the quality of teaching, assessment, and curriculum design
n

What we're looking for
n
n
A PhD qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field
n
Demonstrated experience in supervising research students, including HDR students
n
Significant experience teaching in higher education,



with a strong track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons
n
Demonstrated expertise in early childhood education theory, curriculum development and assessment design
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
n
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to contribute to the institute's research agenda
n
A substantial record of research and publication
n
