McAuley & Co is looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our growing team.
n
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with clients, takes pride in producing quality work and wants to develop beyond simply completing compliance tasks.

You'll work across a diverse range of clients and industries, with the opportunity to build strong client relationships, expand your technical knowledge and take increasing ownership of your work.

The Opportunity
n
This role is ideal for an accountant with approximately 2-4 years' public practice experience who is ready to take the next step.
n
You'll be involved in a broad range of accounting and taxation work, including:
n
n
Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
n
Preparing and reviewing BAS, IAS and other compliance obligations
n
Assisting with tax planning and year-end strategies
n
Working directly with clients to understand their businesses and accounting needs
n
Managing client queries and following work through to completion
n
Liaising with the ATO and other government agencies
n
Identifying issues and opportunities for clients
n
Working alongside senior accountants on more complex taxation and advisory matters
n

About You
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Around 2-4 years' experience in Australian public practice
n
Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns
n
A good understanding of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
n
Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting software
n

You may already be studying towards your CA/CPA qualification, have recently completed it, or be considering commencing it.
