The Woombye Pub is a much-loved local venue with a great social atmosphere, a strong food following and a relaxed, family-friendly offering.

With our exciting new Beer Garden development adding another dimension to the venue and creating further opportunities for dining, events and functions, we're looking for an experienced Restaurant & Functions Manager to join our management team and take ownership of our front-of-house restaurant and functions operations.
n
Working closely with our Head Chef, Publican and venue management team, this is a hands-on role for someone who loves hospitality, knows what great service looks like and wants the opportunity to help grow a business.

About the Role
n
As Restaurant & Functions Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and dining areas while also driving the development and delivery of functions and events.
n
You'll be involved from the initial customer enquiry right through to the successful delivery of an event, while ensuring our everyday diners receive the same high standard of service and hospitality.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and dining areas.
n
Recruiting, training, mentoring and developing our front-of-house team.
n
Creating a positive service culture and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
n
Working closely with the Head Chef to ensure seamless communication between front and back of house.
n
Managing bistro and beer garden reservations, table allocations and customer enquiries.
n
Coordinating functions, group bookings, celebrations and private events from enquiry through to delivery.
n
Working with management to identify opportunities to grow restaurant and function trade.
n
Preparing function details and ensuring the kitchen, bar and service teams are fully briefed.
n
Managing staffing levels and rosters in line with anticipated trade and business requirements.
n
Maintaining presentation and service standards throughout the restaurant and function spaces.
n
Using POS, reservation and online ordering platforms effectively.
n
Responding professionally to customer feedback and resolving issues when required.
n
Maintaining appropriate food safety, RSA, WHS and operational standards.
n
Being visible, hands-on and actively involved in service.
n

About You
n
We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional who is ready to take ownership of the role.
n
Ideally, you'll bring:
n
n
At least 2 years' experience in a restaurant supervisory or management position.
n
Demonstrated experience leading a busy restaurant or hospitality operation.
n
Experience coordinating functions, events, group bookings or private celebrations.
n
Strong leadership skills and the ability to train, motivate and develop a team.
n
A genuine customer-service focus and an understanding of the complete customer journey.
n
Excellent organisation, attention to detail and follow-through.
n
Confidence working independently and making operational decisions.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with chefs and venue management.
n
Experience with H&L; POS and SevenRooms, or similar POS and reservation systems.
n
Familiarity with online ordering and delivery platforms such as me&u; and Uber Eats, or similar systems.
n
Current RSA and appropriate hospitality compliance knowledge.
n
Availability to work across evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
n
n
